To export all your Simpro data, connect Simpro to TradieBridge and choose an export: CSV for spreadsheets, JSON for developers, or Postgres for a database. You get one zip with every job, quote, invoice, customer, site, stock item and timesheet that TradieBridge holds.

Why Simpro is hard to export in full

Simpro’s own exports are lists and reports, one at a time. Each is a snapshot of one screen, and many leave out the detail inside a job, such as cost centres, labour and notes. The Simpro API has all of it, but you must page through each endpoint, follow every job into its sections and cost centres, and stay under the rate limits.

How the export works

  1. Connect Simpro to TradieBridge with an API key from your Simpro administrator. TradieBridge only reads.
  2. TradieBridge copies 88 Simpro resources and keeps them current.
  3. Open the Simpro connection, choose Spreadsheets, Documents or Postgres, and press Email me the zip. The emailed link works for 7 days.

TradieBridge reads every table from one snapshot, so the files agree with each other. A job never points at a cost centre that the export missed.

Three formats

  • Spreadsheets: one .csv file for each resource, with the searchable columns of each record. Open them in Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Documents: every record exactly as Simpro sent it, in .ndjson files, for developers.
  • Postgres: one .sql file that loads into any Postgres database or Supabase, in a simpro_backup schema.

How do I export all my data from Simpro?
Simpro exports one report or list at a time. To get everything at once, connect Simpro to TradieBridge. It copies 88 Simpro resources through Simpro’s official API, and any member can export the whole copy as CSV, JSON or a Postgres database.
Can I export Simpro data to Excel?
Yes. The CSV export gives one .csv file for each resource, such as jobs, quotes, invoices, customers, sites and timesheets. Excel, Google Sheets and Numbers open them directly.
Can I load Simpro data into a database?
Yes. The Postgres export is one .sql file that psql loads into any Postgres database, Supabase included. It creates a simpro_backup schema and touches nothing else.
Do I need a Simpro API key?
TradieBridge connects with a Simpro API key that your Simpro administrator creates. TradieBridge only reads through it and handles the paging and rate limits for you.
What happens to my data if I leave Simpro?
Simpro’s terms give you a short window to take your data after you cancel. A copy you already hold doesn’t depend on that window. See what happens if you leave Simpro.
Are attachments backed up?
Not yet. TradieBridge keeps each attachment’s details, such as its name and the record it belongs to, but not the file itself.
