Simpro’s terms give you 30 days after your services end to get a backup of your data. From day 31, Simpro may delete it permanently.
So take your backup before you give notice, not after.
What Simpro’s terms say
Clause 13 of the Simpro Master Terms and Conditions (version of 29 September 2026) covers suspension and termination. It ends:
“During the term, and for 30 days following termination of the services, you will have the opportunity to obtain a backup of the Client Data. Commencing on day 31 following termination, Simpro reserves the right to permanently delete the Client Data.”

If your business signed its own agreement with Simpro, that agreement may say something else. Check it, or ask Simpro, before you rely on this page. This page is not legal advice.
When the backup window opens
The window opens when your services end, not when you give notice. Under the same terms:
- Monthly subscriptions: either side can end one at any time with at least 30 days’ written notice. It ends on the next regular billing date after that notice period.
- A breach: either side can end the agreement if the other fails to fix a material breach within 30 days of written notice.
- Suspension: Simpro can suspend or end access for a breach, a policy violation, security concerns or legal reasons. Where the problem can be fixed, it gives you 10 business days first.
A suspension can stop you signing in before you planned to leave. A backup you already hold does not depend on that access.
What to take with you
Before your services end, make sure you hold:
- Jobs and quotes, with their cost centres, labour and notes.
- Invoices, credit notes and payments, for tax and for any dispute with a customer.
- Customers, sites and contacts, including customer contracts and assets.
- Timesheets, as evidence for pay and for job costs.
- Stock, vendors and vendor orders, if you carry stock.
- Attachment files, such as photos, signed forms and certificates. Download these from Simpro yourself.
Back up first, then decide
TradieBridge reads Simpro through its official API with an API key you create. It copies 88 resources, from jobs and invoices to stock and payables, and keeps each record exactly as Simpro sent it. When your Simpro access ends, new records stop arriving, and everything already copied stays yours to browse and export as JSON, CSV or a Postgres database. Your AI assistant can still answer questions from it.
